Just last week we were talking about how so many people think it’s a quiet tropical storm season and sure enough, today it looks like things are starting to heat up. In fact, ImpactWeather StormWatch Manager Fred Schmude remarked this morning, “What’s striking to me is how similar this year is to our [2011 hurricane outlook] primary analog season of 2008. That year also had the D storm (Dolly) heading toward the lower Texas coast from the Yucatan Channel in late July.”
And we all remember how 2008 turned out. Here’s a 2-minute video we posted this morning.
Keep an eye out as the week progresses. This might be one to watch.
