This morning ImpactWeather hosted a review of Hurricane Sandy and briefly discussed better ways to prepare for such a storm, an event that many folks claim they never thought could happen where they live.  With more than 120 lives lost, 8 million people with their electricity cut and rationing at gas stations even weeks after the storm, Sandy will forever remain a storm that we can learn from.

Today’s presentation was made by Ed Schlichtenmyer, a 20-year veteran of business continuity and preparedness experience.  It runs at just over 34 minutes and is a valuable use of your time.  Click here to watch it and feel free to share it with anyone you’d like.

Each severe weather or other business disruption event presents an opportunity for each of us to learn, and Sandy – unfortunately – has not only taught us a great deal but still has a good deal to teach us.
