Activity in the tropics is starting to build and this morning we tweeted (@impactweather) “Confidence is marginal but by Tue, what will be respectable TS Ernesto should be S of Havana w/ 70mph winds gusts to 80 & tracking westward.”  We’ll look at what’s going on right now and what we expect to happen in the next several weeks during our August Hurricane Season Outlook Webinar on Tuesday, August 7th at 10:30C / 11:30E presented by ImpactWeather Lead Hurricane Meteorologist Chris Hebert.

Register here now.

The webinar will cover:

  • How this year compares to average activity
  • What similar past years tell us about what to expect this year
  • Which coastlines are at greatest risk this year
  • An up-to-the minute operational briefing of anticipated activity next week

If you register to attend, you’ll also receive an ImpactWeather white paper, “Hurricane Preparedness for Business” which includes advice on Objective Guidance as well as Planning for Recovery.  There is no cost to attend the webinar and after this brief, 20-minute outlook there will be an opportunity for Q&A.

Feel free to forward this invitation to anybody you feel might be interested in attending.  If you aren’t available on August 7th, please do go ahead and register so that you’ll receive the follow-up email with a link to the recorded version of the webinar.

Register now and we’ll see you Tuesday.
