Yes, it’s rare! For one day last week, every state in the Lower 48 had some form of snow covering the ground. From deep to dusting, from Florida to Maine, from South Carolina to California, there was at least some snow in every state; Alaska, too! Only Hawaii was without snow. And though Hawaii can have snow in the higher elevations of its two tallest volcanoes during the winter months, that was not the case this past Saturday.
